“Simplified Journal” - I learned this “Simplified Binding” from Laura Wait, a terrific teacher and binder with whom I can’t wait to work again.  But this must be an oxymoron as I still can’t figure out what’s simplified about it.  It’s a method based on Sun Evard’s work that’s “very French and precise.”  It’s a lovely, slim journal of 38 pages of Hahnemühle Biblio, a nice heavyweight (130 gsm) paper for calligraphy, drawing and light washes, with Bugra endpapers.  Covered in my hand painted paste paper over board with navy goatskin over a rounded spine and goatskin headbands, it measures 7 ¾ x 5 3/8 x 5/8”.      $150.
